I believe there's someone on the forum that does caliper powder coating and does not remove the pistons. His statement was that the brake system can get as hot/hotter than the oven for powder coating. 200 degrees doesn't seem that hot in comparison to what I've read powder coating requires. Might not be worth the effort if it's that low of a temp.
However my powder coater did remove the pistons and seals. He didn't give me a reason why it had to be done.
