ok, let me try and get this across to y'all in the easiest way I can... just because you are related to your parents does not mean that you are your parents, right? the same can be applied to all generations of small block GM engines.

just because the LS2, LS7, LSA, LS9, L76, L92, L98, LS4, etc. are all on the GenIV architecture does NOT make them the same block... it makes the same block DESIGN... do you seriously want to tell me that the FRONT WHEEL DRIVE LS4 engine has the same block as the dry sump LS7 engine? I highly doubt that, folks... it might LOOK the same, and it might have the same dimensions, but the sleeves are different, the bore is different and the actual short block is NOT the same.

jeebus, its hard to get things across to people who think they know everything.
