I'm not sure what you're talking about...

If the vents do feed the airbox then how are the vents closed?? That statement contradicts itself. I've had the pleasure of driving and examining a few different examples of the '97 Trans Am WS6...and I can ASSURE you that the "nostrils" were open (they were not modified by the owners) and fed directly into the airbox...thus the opened slits in the top of the airbox.
