The Ecotec is pushed to the limit and if you do anything to it it will explode and BAM! GM release the turbo upgrade through GMPP

GM has a 100K warranty in place which means they think it should go 120K or more. We are not doing anything crazy with a CAI and a tweak to the boost so in this case almost is 50% with anything more a plus.

Unlike some of my LS based GM projects this one won't see the strip or road course. It will see some AC time. I want to take the Sonic from a nicely done econo hatch to a more fun to drive hatch along the lines of a GTI.

Turbocharged
Engine: 2.0L in-line four-cylinder DOHC with variable valve timing
Premium unleaded fuel
Fuel economy: EPA (08):, 21 MPG city, 31 MPG highway, 25 MPG combined and 364 mi. range
Gasoline direct fuel injection
14.5gallon fuel tank
Power (SAE): 200 hp @ 5,100 rpm; 207 ft lb of torque @ 1,800 rpm
Curb Weight 3,325

Sonic 138 HP
Curb Weight 2,900 (I haven't scaled it yet)

If we can get to 170, Brembo fronts, Coilovers, Wheels and Tires... I'll know more after the baseline and then the CAI run. If there really are 15 low hanging ponies another pound of boost will get us close to the target. IF

There is a baseline dyno if you go further in.

I have seen those numbers. I may have grown up in Chicago, but apparently spent some time in Missouri the show me state. We have 2,300 miles on the Sonic so we should get a fair reading on the dyno. After that we'll know. I'll be sure to get the dyno runs on video so you'll know if the power is there or not.
