The Vette is in a class by itself. I will admit that. The Mustang was never meant to compete with it. Even the in the 60's the vette was a classic sophisticated sports car, were the mustang was your average guy's pony/muscle car. They have never been in the same league
The SS is a nice car, but heck GM has had what 12 years or so to get it right ? Still the GT is right there in performance even with a weaker engine. Its not that we are hanging our hats on the GT500, I will gladly hang mines on my 08 GT. As close as the cars are mods will make the difference..and who's behind the wheel.
