The code will have the format PXXXX where the XXXX is a four digit code, usually all numbers (but sometimes a letter in there). If it starts with U, it's a communications/BCM related code.

Autozone employees are pros at diagnostics. After six bean burritos I went to Autozone. After multiple "backfires" the girl behind the counter told me I had "bad gas."
