You certainly could.

Florida law prohibits anything that obscures any part of the plate lettering or reg decal. Whether you actually get a ticket is officer discretion.

Id estimate 6/7 cars in Fl have some type of modification violation, between tint, lights, tags... hell; there's even a statute that states altering the exhaust from manufacturered specifications is illegal... all depends on the cop behind you and if he/she thinks there's more there than just a tag ticket
