Thanks for the invite!
If the video label is incorrect I will fix it. It is not my car so I am unsure...
My personal car is a C6 Z06 so you can be sure I would want the SS with all the go fast, corner fast, stop fast goodies! Even this base level Camaro received a lot of attention and thumbs up where ever I drove it (even more than for my Vette).
My track impressions:
Tires were completely wrong. Too tall a profile, all season style, and hard compound. Even with all the noise they didn't wear much...
Brakes are fine until they got hot, then fad was a problem. Once cooled off they returned to normal.
Suspension too soft.
Despite these issues it was a TON OF FUN to drive!

The suspension would take a set nicely and carve through a corner well. One advantage of the softer suspension was the ability to drive on the curbs and off/back on the track with no drama. You can see this a bunch of places in the video...
What I would do:
Start with a SS!
Call Pfadt Race Engineering (they are highly regarded in the Corvette performance community and they are a completely honest familty run business).

They have already built one of their sway bar sets and they are in testing. I believe they also have shocks about ready.
Lower the car, adjust the suspension with more negative camber and get some 20" R compound tires mounted.
Go drive the STINK out of it!

BTW this Autobahn is a private country club race track outside of Chicago...
