Oh well, hope you like it and stuff.
Way to stick with GM, cause they really care about us....I guess....did you get a loyalty rebate?

No - I got it at invoice and GM has a something like $2500 rebate on top of that on most cars (if I remember right). I got a fair trade-in on the Z but the G8 was too much more $$$ (the 'Bu was pushing it really - I'm getting a two-day-a-month furlough which amounts to a 10% reduction in pay because I work for State Government...) so there was just no more room in our budget. I didn't get a loyalty rebate I don't think (unless I misunderstood the rebate I mentioned above).

So far its been a great car. Has had a few small issues with the brakes, dealer said they were warped but its still doing a small vibration at very very low speeds, and the transmission recall.
We look at an Impala and G8 and decided to get the Malibu. G8 was a little too much car for us and the Impala was just VERY outdated compared to the other two.
Stickered for $26.7 and it was out the door for $21.2 after 3k for our trade in.

We liked the cocoa/cashmere more than the other and got the sunroof too, but not the power. I might see about adding that in the future. I subscribed to the ChevyMalibuForum so I'm hoping to learn about any querks and such. The mileage is a little lower than I expected, but we barely have more than 150 miles, total, on the car, so I'm sure she'll loosen up a bit the closer we get to 1,000 miles.
We, too, looked at the Impala but it just didn't appeal. It was too big for our tastes and just didn't look that good, like you said. I'd have like a G8 GT but 252 horsepower isn't too bad
It looks like you got a pretty good deal too

Hey Fenwick' - I saw you on the Malibu forum I mentioned above

I didn't see any LTZs in our area for those prices, but this one was a lot better because it was on the lot so long and with the rebate.
