When you first submit an order it is at 1100 status because it is a "preliminary order". All dealers have a certain number of allocations. The allocations get built in order...the dealership sets the priority status for the orders. When your order gets to #1 priority it will go into the build process and go through the 3000, 3300, 3400, etc, order codes that you have probably seen on this forum.
Every order goes through this same process. That's why you see guys who submitted a "consensus order" in October still waiting for their cars. By the way, a consensus order is only a way for people to raise their hand and tell GM they will be ordering a car when that is possible. The Camaro was the first time GM let customers actually put their name on a consensus order. GM didn't actually start accepting orders until February 09. No one actually "ordered" a car until then.
