Thanks again Becky for your support and patience. Your quiet professionalism is way beyond my ability to express. Since we left you the fun and excitement has been non-stop awesome. It started with the excitement of delivery (is it there?), the flight up with the boys that same morning, Joe picking us up at the airport and then you guys and Scott walking in for the delivery. We met you the next morning and drove south and hit 500 miles at the Corvette Museum. Left the next morning and made it back with about 1000 on the breakin. Next stop was the local 1/8 mile track and I hit 1500 on the way to Friday Night Test and Tune. Traction is tough and G2s aren't normal guy friendly. Sunday was the Carrabelle 1/2 Mile Speed Fest and we made a best run of 151 with a 146 backup. Learned a lot about cars and people who jump the line and brag online how a ZL1 got "spanked" but forgot to mention it was a novice driver on a test run. Went to several 1/8 mile test and tunes but finally got if figured at Pony Wars last weekend. Best 60 foot was two 2.01s, best time was 12.38 with a 12.46 backup. MPH was a best of 117 point something. As you said, it only takes slicks and skinnys to to go faster but my budget doesn't support $2K to for another 3 or 4 tenths of bragging rights. After Pony Wars, I had a blast driving home by taking the back roads of Georgia and then spent all Sunday afternoon scraping 1/2 inch of rubber off the inner fender (and that was with Pam spray). Don't know what is next but for now I'm just driving it every day and having a ball.
