kalimus,
Without significant modification to the lights and the stock diffuser that would render it inoperable, the color shifts will not fit behind the diffuser, clearance issues. I elected not to modify the lights or diffuser so I could return my lights to stock if I were to trade it in on another car or in my case a GM buy back, I restored my old lights to stock, gave the car back to GM and when the new car came in I placed them into it.
I have 2 harnesses off the controller, 1 to the interior for interior lighting/footwells (bottonm of diagram) and the other to the engine compartment for the halos and fogs.
The diagram simple one line drawing. Each led string/halo ring wiring is terminated with terminal lugs which would then connect to the terminal board. They are each individually wired to the terminal board so I can replace one if it becomes defective.
I will look to see if I have any pics of the interior of the light to show the isues with the diffusers.
Another word of advice, using small tie wraps secure the halo ring wiring to the back side of the ring as near to the solder points as possible. The solder joints for the wiring are weak and can become seperated from the ring. The tie wraps will take the stress off the solder joints.
Hope this helps.
John
