Sorry i'm so late to this, not gonna fan any flames or anything. Thank you to all the Camaros that showed up! It was great seeing all of them together! I have been competing for a few years now, i'm on a competition team that has been in this exact scene, showing at these shows for a decade now. I won at SPOCom 2 years ago when there were barely any domestics around at these shows. I won 3rd place at Motion over the weekend. The guys that won 1st and 2nd absolutely deserved it and congrats to them!! As far as sponsored and non sponsored cars go, i have sponsors. They helped with my build for r&d purposes, sema projects, and for advertisement purposes. Having said that i've still dropped almost $30k on top of the price of the car to get it where its at. This stuff wasn't free! But please don't comment on things you are unfamiliar with, such as the judging at these shows. Its not who has the most money or the most parts, quality over quantity counts for a lot. If anyone thinks i dont deserve 3rd place i will show you my ar in person and explain all the mods i've done personally so you can have a more clear understanding of what it takes. There are guys on my team that are literally billionaires, is it fair that they win? They basically have unlimited funds like a fully sponsored car! Yes it is fair because they built it. Shop cars however do not compete with normal registrants, thats a different story.
So again thank you everyone for coming out, i look forward to more competition in the future, honestly i was real worried about a few cars! (Sammy especially!) i look forward to seein you guys at local meets too! At the end of the day enjoy your car whether it's stock or modded to hell! It doesn't matter! We are Camaro5, we are and always will be a family!
