If both cars were of different themes: As an example the zl1 as a luxury touring car (like the cts-v) then the performance and power deficit would matter less. However, with both the zl1 and gt500 marketed as ultimate pony performance cars, in which both cars are drawing on their mega horsepower images of their past, their resulting hp and performance numbers will be a main emphasis in evaluating which car is the better of its rival.

To you it might, but not to me or to the present and future ZL1 owners. I'm still going to get one even if the GT500 #'s are better by 1000%, the ZL1 is still more
badass
