i *also* know a guy with a 4th gen v6 (3.4L). he managed to put in a 7" touchscreen into his camaro, and cram the entire mainboard/cards/CPU behind where the radio used to go. all in all computers arent heavy, the cases that hold them are - and when you venture into carputing you use different components than what you use at home (Becuase its not in an area that is accesible to being kicked or having things spilled on it...doesnt need to be as robust.)
Its a nice concept. there are plenty of camaros that have carputers in them already, if you do a search on google for carputer, and mp3 you will definitely turn up some good information.
