possible correction. after reading many articles and post on this site, i offer some thoughts.
1. the production line opened mid mar with 14,000 orders
2. may 8th, i read that total orders were up to 19,000
3. may 15, i saw that vin "10200" had been issued.
given that, i would estimate that;
a. about 10,000 orders are out there waiting to be made
b. they are averaging about 400 a day/ 2000 a week
c. it will take about 2.5 months to produce the current wait list
d. if they increase the line to 440 a day, give it two months
so my dealers estimate of 3 months with a july delivery, because they still had open allocations, was reasonable. any body have access to contradictory information?
my symapthies to all those who pre-ordered without knowing about allocations awarded by past sales performance. in hind sight, it smacks of "failing to disclose" a what we (Camaro Lovers) consider a significant fact.
but then again, i've never found a crystal ball, wigie board, fortune teller, or mystic that was worth 2 cents. if you know of one that works, why are you in the position your in??????
if you can't focus the emotion into a positive action that contributes to a meaningfull change, you only become a loose cannon.
have you called and filed a complaint with BBB, GM, Chevrolet, called you state's AG? posted those phone numbers and e-mail contacts for like minded people to voice their dis-satisfaction??
