Good guess. That got me thinking Pitot tubes. It's an aviation system that uses an air pressure differential which is used in calculating different readings on different gauges: airspeed, vertical airspeed, decent rate, altitude etc. But when I think about it that doesn't really make sense. Because if the car was standing still with a five mile an hour head wind. The pitot system would report 5 mph... Seems like this would be inaccurate when compared to actual ground speed... Maybe it's something simple like a temp sensor. Or it checks humidity, since that's why they brought it to Florida. Ah I don't know.
