Very true.

If you want a radar detector, I've heard the Valentine is a great one. I also hear a lot about people w/ Cobras. I don't recall the name of the one I have. I've had it for probably over 10 years...still works fine and never let me down. It's been in my garage for years as I really don't have to use it. The only time I'll put it in is on long road trips where I'll be driving for a while and find myself not looking for officers out on the road....no, I don't go that fast....c'mon...

I will tell you that if you have a radar detector in use where it's legal, the officer writes RDU (radar detector in use) on the back of the ticket. If you take it to court, the judge will 99% of the time side against you. In other words, if you have a radar detector and get pulled over, take it down. If you live in a state where they are illegal, I wouldn't even bother putting one up on that window.
