I love the "oh I have to drive less than 24 hours, that's just too much of a drive" crowd. the east coast is spoiled becuase you can drive for under 24hours and get almost anywhere.. on the west coast you can only cross about 2-3 states (if that) in that time.
Personally though I think it should be in the north west or Texas, we have hit the south west, south east and north east (if you don't think indy isn't north east your insane).
Oh and yes I am driving to Indy in August, also have to be back in phx the following Wednesday.

Hold up, I do believe we have a few die hards from the east coast. You can plan it for Washington State & I would still go. Texas will work for me.
Only a few can say they have not missed a fest.
