why does everybody think there will be a rust problem
of coarse he wouldn't just cut them out, i hope, he would add ducting made out of plastic, carbon fiber, or fiberglass (for best cooling effect) those don't rust or break down with out UV radiation and sun light will never be on them
when the ducting is installed the body panel is just as sealed as it would be if nothing was done. so there is no greater chance of it rusting as before the modification
he could also add fans inside the duct work for even better cooling, but that would only be needed for extreme circumstances like road racing(for that matter you only need extra cooling for that anyways lol) just look at nascars they got'em, as well as other race cars
