The SS has always been the top dog, excluding COPO vehicles back in the 60's and early 70's. 1967 to 1969 Z28 were all 302 cars. 67 to 69 SS models had the 350 and 396. 70 to 73 Z28 had the 350. 70 to 73 SS had the 350 and 396 (402). 1974 was the last year of the Z28 until 1977 when the Z28 was brought back. The Z28 has always been a entry level V8 sport coupe.
