Maybe we need to put on the brakes?
They are amazing calipers and rotors. The caliper is made from billet 5-axis machined, aerospace aluminum-alloy, monobloc The pistons never come into direct contact with the brake pad baking plate. Ventilated SS inserts, recessed twin seals will not vaporize from the heat.
You can see the exposed dust boots or seals on the GT caliper. These are very similar to the CTS-V / ZL1 design. One good hard track session will bake the exposed dust boot.
The rotors are a new compound. The ceramics on the ZR1 are supposed to be replaced if the rotor is scratched. i.e. if you have a minor off track incident and a few stones damage the surface of the rotor it has to be replaced. The same is true on other high end exotics. There is a new more durable carbon ceramic rotor that is more resistant to fracture when scratched. The sample they had at SEMA and PRI had me

too I am checking to see if they have gone to production.
UPDATE: The new CCM-R discs are in production with limited availability. The CCM-R discs are the highest performance, longest lasting, most technologically advanced system available to the public by Brembo. These are very much like the discs that just swept the podium at Le Mans but yet you can still drive them on the street.
Normally we try to make a street set of brakes perform on the track. With this setup we are taking a racing system to the street. The 5th Gen system only exists in my mind and with the technical people at Brembo. Once I find the client, Brembo is ready to assemble the kit. I don't want to mislead anyone. This is a
$$$$ system from the best brake company in the world.
Did I mention the HOTTER the CCM-R disks get the better they perform?

There are a good number of companies on C5 that sell brake kits. When it was suggested to me that Brembo and Pedders would be a good fit I was skeptical. When we talked about the fit I came to the conclusion the only brake kits Pedders would promote would have to be the Best-of-the-Best State-of-the-Art technology. This Pedders by Brembo GT-R / CCM-R kit is exactly that.
I think BECKY needs a set for her soon to be highly modified 1LE
