I'll have to go back to my fluid dynamics textbooks (it was a few years ago) but its my understanding that drag co-efficient is based upon the shape of an object. If the CoD is to be calculated (vs experimentally determined), the ratios between length, height, and width are important but not the actual dimensions. If the air flows smoothly around it the air flows smoothly. The physical dimensions contribute to the total drag force but not the co-efficient. Drag = CoD x Cross sectional area
