I average 19 miles per US gallon. I do about 75% of my driving on the highway (70 to 80 miles per hour). I would propaply get a little better economy, but it's hard to resist playing with the throttle in to SS.
What I'm trying to say there is that you won't actually get what they estimate the economy to be. So if what they predict the economy at is close to what you think you can afford, then you probably should avoid it and go for the more economical car.
Or do what I do. I got tired of buying so much gas and got a cheap motorcycle. I use the motorcycle for my daily driver and use the Camaro much less now.
