Thankfully, the big three car magazines found the GT500 to be as fast or a hair faster around the road courses than the ZL1. The GT500 truly is an engine in search of a chassis, and until it finds one, it will have to be satisfied with being just a hair faster than the ZL1 around a road course, and a lot faster at the drag strip. The Zl1 cannot overcome the HP disadvantage except under very specific conditions...tight bumpy course. No chance in a straight line.
It is what it is. 82 HP
Nothing wrong with being 2nd in muscle performance, and only slightly so.
The Camaro is so much more than HP.
