But a few homes and businesses have burned down from lightning strikes, and on the news last night, there was a story about a tree getting hit, and a bald eagle getting killed by lightning in the process. I saw some sheet lightning off in the distance last night, but it was so far away I couldn't even hear the thunder. Bummer.
