I guarantee folks would not be happy if a G8 walked away with prize money. In fact, a G8 taking up coveted time slots on a busy AutoX course may not be well received by some.
The whole purpose of having classes is to distinguish exactly what type of car is running,,, and in this case, since it's a 5th Gen event the make and model comes to play. We want to carry these times from year to year and have records to break.
The good news is (and I think you are underestimating this point) the test and tune part is the major portion of Drag Racing. It's going to be a lot easier to get a ton of cars down the strip than it will be in Auto X. The majority of the time you will just be able to line up and go. In fact last year they closed the track early because no one was running. We did get them to open it back up..

And i completely understand that but what i dont understand is why you would single me out by saying that im taking up slots that a camaro could have and the prize money going tova G8? Thats a little ridiculous, i cant even believe you would say that. I guarantee that im not the only car there thats not a camaro competing. Why do the forms for auto x have make and model on them and why would dragsters be there if its camaros only?
Im not trying to be a troll here im just bringing up issues and details that i would like explained and i dont want to be suprised when i get there.
