Is it going to be more fun than heal-toe shifting an M6? NO
But the A6 will downshift and and upshift much faster than I can with an M6 and it will absolutely hold a gear until you tell it otherwise (and thus it is actually possible to miss a shift). Beyond that I feel safer and more confident on the track knowing that I can shift without taking my hands of the wheel.
If I was only driving my Camaro around on country roads then the M6 would be way better. But for a road course I am more than satisfied with what I've got. It may not be your cup of tee, but it deserves a lot more credit than "a sloppy excuse".

I agree with quicker shifting than the manual, I own a manual. I must say there is a ton of slop in the manual. In my own opinion the clutch has way too much distance between the engage and disengage. the distance in between gears is dramatic, but I have had some cars, with a manual I could shift way quicker than the paddles. But with the paddles, for motocross is just a real P.I.A.!
