Thanks to all in this forum, especially Fbodfather and Becky who kept us informed and educated on our cars and the order process. My 2013 is home after a 10 month wait. Actually I took a photo of the 2006 concept 5th gen and put it by my desk and used it as inspiration. I also took a centerfold of Mark Steilow Red pro touring from the same year and started my quest. The 69 took up the first 6 years of the journey and the rollover pushed me to get it finished this spring. I put off my 5th gen. order knowing "hoping" a Z28 or such would come. (not to mention the income). Well it did and i have it and without a doubt it is nasty. It gets to 80 real quick while shifting at 4000 rpm
. I dont know which is faster, that FI 406 wth an overdrive is something in a light 69 car, but I know which one is scarier. Thank you Cadillac for developing this new suspension! My 14 yr old says the new one makes the old one look sad, I think the 7 yr trek building it keeps me from ever thinking that. I do know that I am a blessed man with an understanding wife.( Instead of 401k I have 401Z and 401ss) I will keep you posted on any interactions the two cars have because I loved the Steilow video this week.
