Ran into an issue with the head studs. Apparently the LSA block is NOT the same as the LS9 block so I ordered the wrong head stud kit. So not much work happening on the ZL1 this weekend after all. Here's a side by side comparison of the stock vs Mast heads. Can really see the height difference.
