I had the non RS for 17K mi and ran regular gas only. Tested fuse pull and tank of 93 octane gas and no noticable difference in power or mileage. Went back to regular gas for the remainder of the time I had the car.
V8 though does show a noticable improvement in power w/93 octane vs regular gas. Not so sure any difference in mileage.
