First of all, if you go to this thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93729
and add up all the costs involved with JUST buying the necessary parts for the HUD, it comes to $793. The prices stated in that thread are list prices, so if you got them all for less than $500, then you got a bargin.

Secondly, my hat goes off to you and all the DIYer's that have done this install. And if you and a helper did it in less than 7 hours, then I envy your knowledge and abilities. I consider myself somewhat mechanically inclined, but I personally would not try this. Without knowing the original thread posters abilities, it's not something for the average Joe to try, even with help.
