Yes, you can compete/win against the GT500 for $6K, but where the GT500 really shines is the component quality. You can up the power on everything and not worry about it. I don't want you to think I am anti-Mustang, I am pro-nice cars, which the Mustang definitely falls into. I just wanted to point out what the original argument is.
I know, I know, it seems like I am anti-Mustang but that is not the case! I love the Mustang, but I just don't like the threads where both sides try to bash one another because there's no winning!!

In what you say is true, but we are comparing stock vs mod.yes you can mod up a GT500 a lot safer at a lot higher levels but then you are getting into mod wars.
As fror the thread, I believe he can drive as well. But there are people in that thread that disagrees. So when that happen, I just took a vid with the same mods, same type of car and posted it. It a shame that
some do not believe him, but playing devils advocate, it does seem odd that LMR can not drive the car to a 12.5 with the same mods and is a full 5 secs behind. At least from what I have seen so far.
