I think the dealership will just replace the shifter. Just as well that my appointment got pushed to this next Monday, because my rear axle is starting to make a rubbing grinding noise when backing out of my driveway and turning the wheel. (after the car has been sitting overnight) There is alot of others on this site with this issue. No big deal. Should get them both fixed this next Monday at the dealer. So I suggest taking it to your dealer and have a tech sit in your car, and show him the noise. Then get r fixed.
