I've used this solution on my Scion for 3+ years, hard driving and multiple automatic car washes (it was a Scion, what'd I care... it's almost disposable), and I had no issues, no movement, no problems.

The item pictured is the one for the Scion XB... and I think it might just work as is for the Camaro... otherwise, it'd just be a question of getting some wider/larger washers to work with the Camaro's grill holes. Also, this solution allows you to put the license plate pretty much anywhere you want on the front of the car... high, low... right, left... yada, yada.
