best suggestions: park in end spots, park several spaces away from nearest car, park near other nice AND CLEAN cars (they respect their car, and won't hit your car because they might damage their own), and most importantly...make sure you are in your own space perfectly!!! and stay away from cars that are not in their spaces perfectly.
would piss me off when i drove a dodge pick up, quad cab, and i made sure i parked perfectly within the space despite having a big truck. then some little rice-rocket comes up and parks all crooked! no wonder he hits the car parked next to him!!
also, something i used to do with my truck always, but not much with my lexus...reverse into the spot. you can give yourself more room on your drivers side. this is best when in an end spot.
