sometimes things like throttle response mean more than whp... for example a ported throttle body... you guys can say what you want, and I dont care if it "reduces" whp(which it doesn't but hear me out), the "gain" you get in throttle response, especially for an automatic is WORTH the money... because its like this, go WOT at 40 without it, then go WOT with it at 40... and get back to me on how well that $150 was spent...
you can put it on dynos, run logs, do what you want... just check the throttle response, that is what it was designed for and what it does well
that is why I LAUGH at these cold air intake test I see on here... don't worry about peak horsepower, that is pretty much useless... why not check the 3500 to 6000 rpm test... THAT is what matters, I don't care if your CAI makes 3 more whp than me, if my car gets from 3500 to 6000rpm faster... I win.. and guess what, the precious Cold Air Inductions cai that that this board raves about, is OUT PERFORMED in that test
