I have had them for a year and half now with no problems. That said it may be a grounding issue or a faulty resistor. Check {with gloves} if both resistors are equally hot to touch. If you find a cooler one swap it out.
Then obviously double check all wires and connections. Also make sure the resistors are not too close to other electrically sensitive parts. Hope this helps.
