It sucks but most of us on here know that the 1-800 number is no good and it's best to just wait it out or talk with your dealer.
Sorry you had the bad experience but don't waste your time anymore.
Also, I don't think GM really knew what they were doing with this type of system. They weren't prepared for thousands of people to call in about their car, considering in most cases no one would ever do that, even if you ordered a car and had to wait for it.
