Sometimes I think it would be difficult to invoke the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. However, when they claim that wheels (of the correct size and offset) caused some problem on the car, it should be quite easy to point out your rights to them and remind them that any court will back you up -- as well as the bad publicity they face. Though, before actually going to that effort, it could easily be escalated to a GM regional rep who would almost certainly tell them to stop being jerks and cover it.

OTOH, if it's brake rotors they're not going to cover it no matter what; they'll call it a wear item and deny any coverage no matter how obvious the manufacturing defect, unless they're feeling charitable.
