With headphones you can begin to hear the lower exhaust note, but the microphone on the iPhone might as well be in a tin can as it wants to filter out the low tones. Oh well, this will do for now.

Yeah its never as good as in person, but your right. The videos are only as good as the source material, and sometimes the equipment used just doesn't do it justice. I've noticed as well that the iphone seems to miss some of lows, but I've heard much worse. Usually a decent middle or high end digital camera will do a good job with videos....at least I've had good luck with my Canon's.
