By pulleys, do you mean upper and lower pulleys?
Do zl1,s have a intercooler reservoir (tank)? If so, try draining some water and adding ice. Find your intercooler pump fuse and jump it so it can run while your car is off. Repeat the process of draining and filling the reservoir with ice untill the water is ice cold to touch. This will eliminate heat soak at the track.
