Got my ported IM installed over the weekend. I didn't bother painting it or anything, too damn lazy. Received it two weeks ago from Jay, removed the OEM friday night in 20 mins, used a mallet hammer to knock off the plenum and IM insulators. Put the gasket maker on the ported IM, attached the plenum insulator screwed the cover back on, then attached the IM insulator to the manifold and fastened some nuts to keep the thing together over night.
Next morning, 30 mins later I was driving down the road datalogging.
Been driving it around like usual for the last couple days and loving the responsiveness and aggressiveness when I lay on the gas. The car also sounds more aggressive while idling and driving.
I haven't gotten 100 miles on it yet, probably will by the end of the week but so far no CELs
Oh like usual I didn't unplug the battery or reset the ECU, I am just letting her learn the new mod at her pace. Also I think I can take the top part of the engine apart with my eyes closed at this point I think.
Thanks again Jay! And it's a great piece of work!
