You will realize longer life and should see less timing pulled if you actually do a evac system on the car. The way Vortech or any of the FI systems come is only dealing with venting excess crankcase pressure and you are getting some oil ingestion in that way and any oil contamination in the intake air charge is going to cause some detonation.
