I'd like to know the real reason for killing it the last time. I know sales were down really low, however, it just didn't seem like it got any real development. I mean sure, the LT1s and LS1s were great, but the rest of the car was too similar to the 3rd. Gen. I know there weren't really many carry over parts, but the suspension was pretty similar in the rear, the floor pans were pretty similar, but the car got heavier and just didn't really get refined. I know the body was stiffer than the 3rd. Gen. but there just didn't seem like there was a lot of interest from GM to keep the car alive and thriving.

I thought I remembered reading that GM was deliberately trying to kill the F-body so they could get out of the contract with that particular plant, so they could start over, or something along those lines. I guess if the car was cancelled, the contract would be void, so they just let the car go.
