Except in the case of collector-grade vehicles, "matching numbers" are rarely a concern, beyond the easily seen VINs. Most Camaros, as much as we love and adore them, are not going to be "collector cars," especially after being daily drivers of basic assemblyline lineage. And--- correct me if I am wrong--- I've never known the trans to be a "numbers- matching" part... and I have never known anybody who ever looked for a number on a trans. Trannies have always seemed like a component part: easy come, easy go...
