I agree with you and BrianGriffin, get what's right for you! Nothing wrong with an automatic. If I had to deal with a lot of traffic, I'd definitely have gotten one!
Oddly enough, I got a WTF?? reaction when I decided to order a manual! "Man, you're going to be shifting a lot!" "Why the heck do you want a stick shift???" "An auto would be faster on the track!" This is from my husband (age 41) and my brother (age 37), who are major car guys and drag race. Admittedly, a manual probably
will hurt my times at the track since I am not an experienced racer, but that's not why I wanted it. Although the husband and bro' do both prefer limited-slip diff.
