Seems like most people that are getting manuals are of the "OMG, Camaro = Manual or bust" type, and the people who ordered autos feel obligated to defend their decision... as if driving a manual is the "manly" thing to do or something... what's the deal, here? I even get guff from a couple of my friends about it. It's kind of annoying, actually. The auto will still lay the smack down on any car in its class. Personally, I don't find shifting gears to be "fun"... I actually find it a bit tedious. Maybe I'm lazy, I dunno. But I also don't like the "jerky" back-and-forth feeling you get from a manual (seems less noticeable when you're the one driving though). Add in the fact that this will be my daily driver, 25-mile commute (one-way) to work every day, and lots of rush-hour traffic jams (as well as city driving for lunch)... and shifting will just get old real quick. I have faith that my car will put me in the most efficient gear when necessary. After all... its 1/4-mile is within .1 sec of the manual, isn't it? Sounds pretty damn good to me.
Why should this have to be explained every time someone finds out you ordered the auto? No one gets this bent out of shape when you order a sandwich with no mayo...
"WHAT?! No mayo??? EVERY sandwich HAS to have mayo, otherwise it's not a REAL sandwich!!!"

what?!?!?! no mayo? now you're just talking crazy talk...sandwich without mayo, that's blasphemy!!
but as far as the transmission, you get what is most fun for you to drive. for me, it's stick. for someone else, it's automatic. WHO F---N CARES?!
stop bitchen about other people's preferences. can't we just go back to playfully making fun of each other? don't take it so seriously
