Depends what your friend is wanting.
With the mods to that car, you know the majority of its miles have been rough. The engine mods are substantial, but could have been done by someone just wanting more power but when I see a stall installed I figure its been used for much more than spirited driving. While I'm sure whoever put the time in on this beast probably did a great job on upkeep, and the performance is better than a stock ZL1 - I'd go for the ZL1.
If your friend wants a raced car that has been modded out already - this is a great car. If your friend wants a new car with a drivetrain warranty, the ZL1 takes it.
