From my understanding.... the "Dovetail" spoiler uses the same holes as the standard low profile spoiler. The outside pieces of the "Dovetail" are applied with doublesided 3M tape. As I've yet to see it in person to know for sure, this does sound reasonable as I wouldn't think GM would make something that required a lot of hole drilling unless they were planning on offering a rear spoiler delete option at the same time.
